Donations are used for what you specify. Donations can be directed to the:
- General Fund - This fund is used for expenses such as bank fees, internet/website expenses, printers, paper and ink (for our Kazakhstan Coordinators to print and hand-deliver letters to the children), Kazakhstan Coordinator salaries, special orphanage requests, international banking fees, State Registration Fees, and other business expenses.
- Sibling Reunions - This is our sweetest project ever! Many of the siblings live in different orphanages due to various reasons and seldom get to see each other. When we started this project some siblings had not seen each other for several years. Antares provides reunions with three different orphanages – RBS, Sokolovka and Poludino. For $300.00 ($150.00 for each of the travelling orphanages) we can provide a day of fun and lunch for these brothers and sisters. Our goal is to raise enough funds to provide these reunions on a monthly basis.
- 1on1 Resource Center Program - Your sponsored child will need and appreciate your continued support after they graduate from the orphanage. Our program provides a mentor and financial support for tuition, supplies, clothing or living expenses to ensure the graduates are able to continue with their education. The Post-Orphanage Program offers many ways to continue your child sponsorship. The 1on1 Resource Center Program provides opportunities for each post-orphan to earn money by creating a hand-made project. This hand-made item is purchased by Antares Foundation, Inc. and is then offered to be purchased with a donation to the 1on1 Resource Center. This program helps the post-orphan to become a responsible and self-sustainable citizen.
- John Rosier Medical Fund - The John Rosier Medical Fund was started with donations from sponsors in memory of the husband of Laura Rosier, President and Co-Founder of the Antares Foundation. Many times over the years we have had medical emergencies and needed to have access quickly to the funds so keeping an on-going medical fund lets us help when needed. Without this fund, some orphans will not get the proper treatment needed.
- One-time donations - If you would like to donate, but do not want to be obligated as a regular sponsor, we gratefully accept one-time donations by check or through PayPal. Your one-time tax-deductible gift can be designated for any of our programs, projects, or to the General Fund.
- Birthday Party Fund - Since the orphanages are on very tight budgets, there are not enough funds to support birthday parties for the children. We set up this fund so each child knows they are special and worthy. Although the parties are celebrated on a monthly basis in groups, it is our way of telling them that they are so very special.
- Sponsorship's - Child Sponsorship allows you to have a special relationship with an orphan (age 3+). Antares does ask for a donation of at least $15 per month (discount given to sibling groups) to help cover expenses to keep the program running. For additional information regarding sponsorship, please contact Holly at [email protected].
- Orphanage Sponsorship's - You may choose to sponsor a specific orphanage, in the Antares network, for only $30 a month. Your donation will go toward un-sponsored orphans, essential orphanage needs, school supplies, etc. A monthly report will be available to each donor.
