What are people saying about the Antares Foundation, Inc?!

Our sponsors say:

❤️

I love sponsoring with Antares because they are an amazing organisation who truly advocate for the children in their care. I am blessed to sponsor some wonderful children who fill my life and heart with joy I love watching them grow with each photo I receive and letter I send. I don't have the words to describe the overwhelming love I feel for my children all my excitement when I receive a letter from them, they write the most incredible letters filled with love and hope even my littlest children sometimes their letters make me laugh out loud! Sponsoring with Antares is the best decision I have ever made I am making a difference and making the world a better place for my children, and they are making my world a better place just by being in it.

“Sponsoring a child changes the sponsor. It really does! When I first started sponsoring, I expected to have a sort of gradual mindset change but this was dramatic and pretty much instant. It sounds like such a cliché but my eyes were opened to just how much we have here. Really everything is set up to create a life of ease. We may work hard at home or in our jobs but we have freedom and choices and hope.
have sponsored with Antares for 12 years. It has changed me. It made me more conscious of others and it made me really consider what my values are & what is important. This is what matters to me. This is real. Until you sponsor, you don’t realise how much you can come to care for a child so far away. You worry when they are ill, encourage them with studying, and hope that they have a future with happiness & success.

Sponsoring makes the children’s loss and struggles so personal. You know the name of a child living in an orphanage in Kazakhstan. You learn about them and their family. Their favourite colour and what they want to be when they grow up. They are more than a figure or a statistic. I knew that orphanages existed and that children lived in them but it was abstract to me. And it isn’t just a temporary suffering. These children have been hurt and have lost those closest to them. They have no one to listen to their hopes & dreams, no one to tell them they are important and special and loved. When a child writes “thank you for believing in me” there isn’t much that compares to that feeling.

I saw their suffering and need and could not turn from them. Will you look away?”

“I have been sponsoring with Antares for over 2 years now. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to make a positive difference in a child's life. Their dedication and passion for the children and for their future is truly inspiring. Letters are a very important part of your sponsorship, but you can also choose to send a little extra money for birthdays, Christmas or for a need the child has. Email communication with Antares is excellent and questions are quickly answered.  As it is a small organisation each of the children is known and cared for by the team on the ground and the team behind the scenes. There are 3 orphanages that Antares works with and these are visited regularly. With each visit the team take photographs of their activities and of the children with their letters that sponsors have sent. The most amazing part of this organisation are the letters the children can choose to write to their sponsor. Not all children write, but those that do write from their heart and engage with the letter you have sent. Their letters are filled with their hope, dreams and daily lives. I am a correspondent for another large organisation and write to many, many children but none of them write the vibrant, warm and sincere letters that these children write. They are amazing children that are living in these orphanages. The children will quickly find a place in your heart.  I heard it said that “You will never completely be at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing children in more than one place.” You will find this is true if you sponsor with Antares. Antares is making a significant impact on the lives of the children in these orphanages. The sponsor plays an important role in providing them with hope, love and a brighter future when they have often suffered loss and find themselves alone in the world. Antares dedication and passion are commendable, and the support they offer is invaluable. I feel proud to be a part of this program and highly recommend it to others.”

Our team say:

“I was introduced to Antares in 2006. We travelled to Kazakhstan to adopt two children (ages 13 & 11), and we heard stories of Americans who came to visit the orphanages. At the time, I did not know they were speaking of Antares. When we came home, I received a personal phone call from the director of Antares. She informed me that she had photos of our two children while growing up in the orphanage which she took while visiting. These photos meant so much to our kids because they didn't have a family to take pictures of them, and they are the only photos they have as young children. The more I learned about Antares, the more involved I wanted to be. I love that Antares has local coordinators in Kazakhstan. Each of these coordinators care for each of these kids. This is not just a job to them. Antares is volunteer-led, so there are many dedicated volunteers who work 7 days a week making sure the orphans receive their letters from their sponsors, and sponsors receive letters from their kids.    Recently, I was re-introduced to a boy that I used to sponsor when he was very young - around 5 or 6 years old. He left the orphanage to go home - well, a couple of months ago, I found out that he is back at the orphanage. I was shocked to hear that he remembered me and was asking about me. He is 14 years old now. I honestly thought when I first sponsored him that he would not remember me once he left - which is ok - sometimes people will remember kindness and how they are treated but not necessarily the person. However, my little friend started writing to me immediately. I was touched that he never forgot me. It reminded me that kindness and showing love is always remembered and always makes a difference.    I love that Antares brings love to the orphans through our letters. Love gives so much encouragement, inspiration, confidence, and self-worth, and can change a life!”

“Our family has been helping Antares for about 10 years, and during that time we have witnessed so many beautiful moments that have touched our hearts.
The greatest joy is seeing how happy the children are when they have sponsors. They eagerly wait for every letter, and when one arrives, they can’t wait to share it with us. Seeing their smiles, excitement, and the feeling of being loved is something truly special. We have also seen how much the children treasure every visit from the Antares team. They talk about those visits for weeks afterward, sharing happy memories with one another. Brother and sister reunions, outings, gifts, letters, holiday celebrations, and simply spending time with people who genuinely care all make a tremendous difference in their lives. These moments bring hope, joy, and remind the children that they are loved and never forgotten. We would also like to say something special about the young adults who have graduated from the orphanage. Many of them have no family or close relatives to guide them as they begin life on their own. Knowing that someone outside the orphanage still cares about them means more than words can express. Their sponsors continue to encourage them, support them, and walk alongside them through the challenges of adult life. Having someone who believes in them gives them hope, confidence, and the strength to keep moving forward. We are incredibly grateful to be a small part of this ministry and to witness the difference Antares makes every day. For many children and graduates, Antares is much more than an organization - it is a family. Thank you to every sponsor, volunteer, and team member for bringing love, hope, and brighter futures to so many lives.”

“I have been sponsoring with Antares Foundation for several years, and it has become one of the most meaningful ways I have found to encourage children. I appreciate that sponsorship is more than financial support. Through letters, photos, birthday gifts, and special projects, I have the opportunity to build genuine connections with the children.   One of my favorite parts is writing letters. I enjoy encouraging each child, asking about their dreams, celebrating their accomplishments, cultivating hope and curiosity, and reminding them that they are valued and loved.  I also enjoy sending my own illustrations and sharing the children's storybooks that I create. My hope is that every child knows that someone on the other side of the world believes in them and is cheering them on.   I have always been impressed by the kindness and dedication of the Antares team. They make it easy to stay connected with the children, and it is clear that they genuinely care about each child as an individual rather than simply as part of a program.   Sponsorship has been a blessing not only to the children but also to me. It has reminded me that simple acts of encouragement—a letter, a photograph, a kind word, or a prayer—can make a lasting difference. I am grateful to be part of the Antares family and look forward to many more years of encouraging these wonderful children.”

“Sponsoring children through the Antares Foundation Inc. has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life. What began as a simple desire to help a child in need quickly became something far more profound. Through Antares, I have had the privilege of building connections with precious children who simply need to know that someone, somewhere in the world, cares about them.

Every photograph, every update, and every letter has touched my heart. Knowing that a child who has experienced loss, uncertainty, and hardship can feel loved, valued, and remembered because of my sponsorship is something that is difficult to put into words. The joy of seeing a child’s smile, celebrating their achievements, and watching them grow in confidence is truly priceless.

What sets Antares apart is the genuine love and dedication of its volunteers. This is not a large, impersonal organization. The children are known by name, their stories matter, and their wellbeing is at the heart of everything the Foundation does. The team works tirelessly to ensure that every child feels special, supported, and hopeful about their future.

The impact of sponsorship extends far beyond financial support. It gives children something many of us take for granted—the knowledge that they are important to someone. It provides encouragement during difficult times, celebrates milestones and birthdays, and reminds them that they are not forgotten.

I was so deeply impressed by the compassion, integrity, and commitment of the Antares Foundation that I felt compelled to become more involved. Sponsoring children changed my life, and before long I found myself joining the volunteer team. It has been an incredible privilege to work alongside people who pour their hearts into helping these children and creating opportunities that would otherwise be beyond their reach.

I can honestly say that Antares has restored my faith in what a caring community can achieve. Every child deserves to feel loved, cherished, and hopeful about the future, and Antares makes that possible. I am profoundly grateful to be both a sponsor and a volunteer, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering sponsorship to take that step. The difference you make in a child’s life is extraordinary—but the difference it makes in your own heart may be even greater.”
